Sturgis 2013
Our journey began Saturday 3 August 2013 in the early morning hours. We all met at the QEW and 3rd line Tim Horton's at 7:00am. I remember it being very cool and all the comments on my cooler which was located at the rear of my bike on a rack were endless.
We arrived in Chicago at about 6:00pm where we were lucky to find a spot to park the bikes for free. A few of us did a walk around the block and we decided to have our diner at Ditka's restaurant.
The restaurant was very nice and Diana saved us a long wait time of 60 minutes by allowing us to be seated right away. She also bought the group the first round of drinks so you know the next time we are in Chicago where we will eat.
The following day we made a bee line to Millwauke Wisconsin Harley Davidson Museum.
What an exciting place to be with my Goldwing!
After seeing the museum we went to the Harley Davidson Factory. There we took so many pictures as it was the site where the first Harley Davidson motorcycle was built in an old shed back in 1903.
Well after visiting all these fabulous Harley Davidson spots it was time to move west and head to Sturgis. We met with Steve and John at the Badlands which was one of the most beautiful rides I have ever done.
After riding through the badlands we finally made it to our Motel in Rapid City. The next morning we went into Sturgis.
Now a few sites of what we saw...
Amazing seeing Buffalo run wild!
At the Harley Dealer one thought his bike should look like a Buffalo.
